Anne R. Efron, MSN, MPH - THRio Research Coordinator
Anne Efron is a Research Nurse/Program Coordinator for the Center for TB Research at the Johns Hopkins University. She has more than 6 years of experience working in Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS research on randomized clinical/community trials and qualitative research. Specifically, she specializes in TB-related randomized clinical trials and has trained on-site research staff in the conduct of clinical trials, monitored study progress and processes, and coordinated communications between investigators and regulatory and funding agencies.
Ms. Efron conducts study audits, documents compliance with the protocol and oversees human subjects' protection. She has worked for the Center for TB Research in 2 countries, Brazil and South Africa and she spent 6 months in Kenya working for Doctors Without Borders in a Somali refugee camp, managing a TB program, hospital and outpatient center; conducting nutritional surveys and reporting epidemiological data. Ms. Efron is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and speaks fluent Portuguese.
