Grace Link Barnes, M.P.H. - CREATE Protocol Specialist
Ms. Barnes has 20 years experience working in HIV/AIDS and TB research. For the past twelve years she has been responsible for the coordination, clinical oversight and monitoring of large and complex international clinical trials in Brazil, South Africa, Zambia and India.
Specifically, she has trained on-site research staff in the conduct of the clinical trial, monitored study progress and processes, coordinated communications between investigators and regulatory and funding agencies. Ms. Barnes conducts study audits, documents compliance with protocol parameters and oversees human subjects protection.
She has been cited by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Data Safety Monitoring Board for her outstanding performance in conducting model clinical trials in developing countries. Ms. Barnes is a graduate of Towson State University and the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University.
