Dr. Leonie Coetzee is currently the Programme Director for the Thibela TB study, part of CREATE (Consortium to Respond Effectively to the AIDS/TB Epidemic).

Dr. Coetzee has extensive experience managing international clinical trials and now applies her project management skills within the public health research domain. The study evaluating the effectiveness of community wide INH preventive therapy in goldmine workers in South Africa has enrolled approximately 19,000 participants.
