Peter Godfrey-Faussett, MBBS, DTM&H, FRCP - ZAMSTAR Principal Investigator
Peter Godfrey-Faussett is a professor at the LSHTM and consultant physician at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. After training in clinical infectious diseases and molecular genetics, he spent five years leading the Zambian AIDS-related TB (ZAMBART) project, an interdisciplinary collaborative research programme between the LSHTM, Lusaka Urban District Health Management Team and the University of Zambia. Thereafter he spent a year working with the Global Tuberculosis Programme of the World Health Organization, where he was responsible for developing strategies to address the combined epidemic of TB and HIV.
Mr. Godfrey-Faussett research focuses on tuberculosis control, with an emphasis on understanding and interrupting transmission, particularly in the context of HIV.
