Dr. Pan received his M.P.H. degree from Emory University in 1997 and his DrPH degree from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2003

His current interests involve the utilization of multilevel and spatial models in conjunction with GIS and remotely sensed data to tackle a wide array of problems in public health and studies examining the relationship between population and the environment.
