The Biostatistics Core played a role in the design of the studies to optimize statistical aspects of the CREATE Studies. The main function of the Biostatistics Core is to ensure the statistical integrity of the studies; provide statistical support for reports; participate in quality control for data capture and management and to provide data analysis and modeling. To accomplish these goals, the core has written specialized software, visited field sites, and procured geographic information systems (GIS) data.
